We’re a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that brings together individuals employed by state, statewide, and local public employees’ pension plans to exchange information, ideas, and experiences with others facing the same challenges. By uniting Louisiana’s public retirement systems, we work for their common interests, monitor state and federal legislative activities, and enhance public pension fund management and administration by providing educational and informational services to our members.

Who should attend the LAPERS Seminar?

The LAPERS Seminar is designed to provide educational hours to trustees of public retirement boards and systems. Staff of those boards and systems, as well as sponsors, are also allowed to attend. Please note the Pre-Conference workshop is for trustees and system staff only.

Beginning in 2025, all LAPERS Seminar registration is conducted entirely online. Registration details will be provided as the date approaches.

What is the cost associated with attending the event?

Member registration fees: $150 per person for LAPERS member retirement systems/pension trustees and staff if received by the deadline. Pre-conference workshop: additional $25. Late registration: additional $50 for members. Non-member registration fees: $250 per person if received by the deadline.

How do I pay my registration fee?
